Our Mission

The Center for Assistive Technologies represents a vision developed by the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) within the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). This vision includes promoting the innovation and use of Assistive Technologies to better serve those with disabilities by enabling improved functionality and independence. The Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering has contracted with FSSA to establish the Center for Assistive Technologies and achieve the following goals:

• Improve collaboration on AT innovation
• Increase overall communication within the AT marketplace
• Identify best practices for AT product evaluation
• Increase visibility for AT users and AT success in Indiana
• Establish Indiana as a leader in AT innovation
